{"id":161,"date":"2019-01-25T03:43:21","date_gmt":"2019-01-25T03:43:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ir8.co.za\/PR\/?p=161"},"modified":"2020-11-19T06:21:34","modified_gmt":"2020-11-19T06:21:34","slug":"da-doesnt-take-policy-seriously-says-gwen-ngwenya-in-resignation-letter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ir8.co.za\/PR\/2019\/01\/25\/da-doesnt-take-policy-seriously-says-gwen-ngwenya-in-resignation-letter\/","title":{"rendered":"DA doesn&#8217;t take policy seriously says gwen ngwenya in resignation letter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-za\/news\/national\/da-doesnt-take-policy-seriously-says-gwen-ngwenya-in-resignation-letter\/ar-BBSFBAh\">https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-za\/news\/national\/da-doesnt-take-policy-seriously-says-gwen-ngwenya-in-resignation-letter\/ar-BBSFBAh<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CAPE TOWN &#8211; The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ewn.co.za\/Topic\/Democratic-Alliance\" target=\"_blank\">Democratic Alliance (DA)<\/a> has lost its second head of policy in less than a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Party\n MP Gwen Ngwenya\u2019s resigned from the position less than six months after\n her predecessor and former policy head, MP Gavin Davis, walked away \nfrom the party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ngwenya resigned last week in a strongly-worded resignation letter to party leader Mmusi Maimane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In\n her resignation letter, Gwen Ngwenya lists a number of reasons for her \nresignation, stating that she does not believe the DA takes policy \nseriously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Party spokesperson Solly Malatsi has confirmed her resignation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It\n is indeed true that Ms Ngwenya has resigned as head of policy.
